The selection process of the International Film Academy for the 2023 academic year provides for two types of scholarships and a limited number of vacancies for its courses.
The two processes of 2023:
- Scholarship (100% free) for black and black students for the 2023 school year who have a family income of up to 5 minimum wages. read here the regulation in its entirety. After reading, if you agree with the regulation, fill out the registration form, choose your course and participate.
- Partial scholarships (discounts of up to 50% on tuition fees) for technical courses and free training. If your family income exceeds 5 minimum wages and you do not qualify for the affirmative vacancies for the full 100% scholarship, you can apply for a discount scholarship of up to 50% of the tuition fee. read here the regulation in its entirety. The selection process includes the analysis of the following points: the candidate’s educational and professional background, expectations regarding training in the intended area, in addition to individual and family income. In addition, the candidate/candidate must make a letter of presentation/intent and record a video of up to 30 seconds as stated in the regulation.
Candidates interested in participating in the partial scholarship program must be aware of the dates in the regulation, the deadline for delivering the documents, if requested, in addition to the information below:
- The first semester class of Filmworks – the Technical Course in Cinematographic Direction starts on 02/27/2023, with classes every day, from Monday to Friday and lasting 2 years. With classes in the morning (from 09:00 to 12:00) and in the evening (from 19:30 to 22:30). For more information about the course, syllabus and professors, click here. The approximate value of the monthly installment is R$ 1997.00 and the scholarship process provides for a maximum discount of 50% of this amount. The scholarship may be awarded for the first or second semester, for the morning or evening shift, depending on vacancies and capacity for each period.
- The course Acting Technician for Film and TV starts on 02/28 in São Paulo (from 9am to 1pm). It has classes four days a week and lasts for 2 years. The approximate value of the monthly installments is R$ 1320.00 and the scholarship process provides for a maximum discount of 35%.
- The Free Training Course in Photography Direction starts on March 13, 2023, with classes on Mondays and Tuesdays at night (7:00 pm to 10:30 pm). There are 180 hours of class. The total cost of the course is R$ 11,300.00. For more information about the course, syllabus and professors, click here.
- The Open Screenplay Training Course starts on March 13, 2023, with classes on Monday and Wednesday nights (7:30 pm to 10:30 pm). There are 180 hours of class. The total cost of the course is BRL 9,100.00. For more information about the course, syllabus and professors, click here.
