Mexico City International Airport (AICM) arrested a couple who were trying to travel to Bucharest, Romania with 14 kilos of cocainefor which the two people were placed at the disposal of the authorities.
This information was disseminated on AICM’s social networks yesterday, Monday, September 23, where it was explained that the couple of Romanian citizens sought boarding a flight with 14.75 kgs of cocaine in their checked luggage.
It should be remembered that only on August 15 were they arrested Two Romanian women at AICM in possession of eight kilos of cocaine hydrochloridefor which both were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).

He AICM reported that the Navy Secretariat (Semar) arrested a couple from Romania who tried to take a flight to Bucharest, Romania with 14 kilos of cocaine inside their checked luggage, it was explained.
The report stated that the flight on which the couple intended to travel would have made a stopover in Paris, FranceHowever, the AICM explained that both were placed at the disposal of the authorities in compliance with their human rights.
In this regard, the Navy and AICM reaffirmed their commitment to the security of the Mexico City air terminal and its passengers:
“Actions like these demonstrate the commitment of the Navy and the AICM to prevent illegal actions at our airport in favor of the safety of our passengers.”

However, the drug shipment was detected in the customs area by personnel from the Navy, which is why both were placed at the disposal of the FGR.
