AICM to suspend operations due to September 16 parade

For the commemoration of the CCXIV anniversary of the beginning of the Independence of Mexico and to facilitate the air-military maneuvers of said celebrations, the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) announced the suspension of takeoffs and landings on September 16.

Closing of operations will be done at a time from 09:00 to 14:00 hoursin order to maintain the operational safety of the air parade.

The above, in accordance with NOTAM A6463/24 (Notice to Airmen or Information for Aviators), issued by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) and disseminated through Services to Navigation in Mexican Airspace (SENEAM).

This suspension of operations, AICM emphasized in a statement, was agreed in a coordinated manner between civil and military authorities: the AFAC, SENEAM, SEMAR, SEDENA and the airport itself.
