Aiden Markram appointed as new captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad!!

Mumbai: Aiden Markram has been appointed as the new captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Markram was the captain of the Eastern Cape team that won the South African T20 League.

The IPL 2023 mini auction for the 16th season of the IPL cricket series was held at a private star hotel in December last year. The managements of 10 teams including Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad participated in this auction. In this auction, England’s all-rounder Sam Karan was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 crore, the highest in the history of IPL. Also, the Australian team’s all-rounder Cameron Green was picked up by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.50 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad surprised everyone by picking up English player Harry Brook for Rs 13.25 crore. Similarly, the Hyderabad team bought several players including Mayank Agarwal (Rs 8.25 crore), Adil Rashid (Rs 2 crore), Heinrich Clausen (Rs 5.25 crore), Vivaranth Sharma (Rs 2.6 crore). The IPL season starts next month. While the Sunrisers team has not announced the captain of the team, today they have announced Aiden Markram as the captain of the team. He captained the Sunrisers Eastern Cape team in the South Africa T20 League and won the championship. Fans are expecting him to lead the team well in the current year’s IPL series as well and win the trophy.
