In 2021, for example, no less than 1.5 million people worldwide will be infected with HIV and more than 650,000 people will die of AIDS in that year. While that should not be possible in this day and age because life-saving resources have been available for a long time and no one has to die of AIDS anymore.

The director of the Aidsfonds reports that inequality and discrimination are perpetuating the HIV epidemic. I must have always thought that unbridled and unprotected sex was the reason!
