jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Indonesian Inventors Association (AII) has expressed its commitment to helping inventors overcome obstacles in the commercialization of their inventions. One of them is by participating in various exhibitions to introduce innovations and research results funded by the Indonesian Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS).

Included in the two largest technology exhibitions in the country, namely the Sawit Indonesia Expo (SIEXPO) 2024 in Pekanbaru, Riau on August 8-10, and the Indonesia Research & Innovation (INARI) Expo 2024 in Cibinong, Bogor.

“We are displaying 46 research inventions from the 2015-2023 period that are worthy of commercialization,” said AII General Chairperson, Prof. Didiek Hadjar Goenadi on the sidelines of the INARI Expo 2024 which will take place on August 8-11.

He said that all of the inventions were the results of research by the Palm Oil Research Grant (GRS) managed by BPDPKS. Didiek, who was also appointed as one of the speakers in the talk show, presented material entitled ‘Results of the BPDPKS Palm Oil Research Grant as part of the Solution to Increase National Palm Oil Production’.

“Our collaboration with BPDPKS is to accelerate the commercialization of GRS inventions through valuation and promotion to the industrial world,” he said.

AII’s technology valuation resulted in 16 GRS research inventions during the 2021-2023 period. These include harvesting aid vehicles, biogenic silica shoes, environmentally friendly membranes, harvesting aids, nano radiator fluids, and glycerin pitch for asphalt.

There are also red palm oil superfoods, wastewater measuring devices, smart palm oil extension workers, antioxidants for cancer, precious metal collectors, surfactants, heavy metal binders, fruit preservatives, liquid waste processors, and lightweight concrete.

AII also collaborates with several universities to evaluate research results produced by academics that have high potential for commercialization. From this activity, AII succeeded in obtaining a commercialization cooperation commitment with 21 companies.
