Preparations are being made to start air ambulance service from big hospitals in those areas. The pilot project is being started from Rishikesh AIIMS. Where a chopper named Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Sanjeevani will be deployed at all times. Wherever any seriously injured or otherwise injured patient will need air lift within a radius of about 150 kilometers from here. This Hems Sanjeevani will reach there immediately.

Officials said that soon it will be tested to see where the air ambulance can land and take off within a radius of 150 kilometers of AIIMS Rishikesh. So that life can be saved by using it in medical emergency. Officials say that if this scheme is successful here, then Hems Sanjeevani will be launched in other places in the country also. So that seriously injured or other serious patients can be airlifted without the difficulty of bringing them by road.

Apart from this, preparations have already started at 16 major airports of the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to save passengers from overcrowding. Officials say that considering the experience of last winter at some other airports including Delhi and Mumbai, the Union Civil Aviation Ministry has already started planning for the coming winter at the end of the year. So that there are no long queues of passengers to enter these airports nor do they face any problem in getting through the security check. These 16 airports include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Trivandrum, Kochi, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Goa, Kolkata and Patna. Where the cold of this season has not gone completely yet and preparations have been started to provide relief to the passengers at the airport for the coming winter.
