In this context, Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said that Air India is committed to transforming itself into a world-class airline. His remarks after his tenure was extended have attracted attention.
Chandrasekaran said Air India services would be expanded both domestically and internationally. Chandrasekaran said the focus would be on four areas in particular: excellent customer service, technologically advanced airline service, aircraft modernization and hospitality.
Chandrasekaran also said that he would increase the number of flights, purchase larger aircraft and expand flights to many new destinations.
