The exceptional program will include a strengthening of the number of seats, the lines served and the Royal Air Maroc network as well as the fleet through the chartering of new aircraft, RAM said in a press release.

Royal Air Maroc will thus set up an offer of more than 6.5 million seats on more than 90 destinations across four continents, an increase of more than 300,000 seats compared to the 2023 summer season.

In addition, the national company will launch six new international lines and two domestic transverse routes. This offer aims to meet a strong demand from Moroccans around the world, due to their massive travel to their motherland during the summer holidays.

“Royal Air Maroc teams are mobilized to make the 2024 summer season a success. The system that we will put in place will guarantee better operational efficiency and broader coverage to our main markets, while offering Moroccans around the world a return home in good conditions, thanks in particular to the injection of significant seat capacity,” underlines RAM Chairman and CEO Hamid Addou, quoted in the press release.

“We have mobilized significant technical and human resources to implement this program, and to ensure better quality of service for a good customer experience,” he added.

Nearly half of the seat offer, or more than 3.2 million, will be deployed on the European continent, with 671 weekly flights connecting 37 European destinations to 11 Moroccan airports. Royal Air Maroc’s offer on this market will thus see a 10% increase compared to the same period last year.

Regarding the North American and Middle East regions, Royal Air Maroc will offer 533,586 and 282,361 seats respectively. Note that the offer on North America will record an increase of 13%.

In line with its vocation as a pan-African carrier, Royal Air Maroc will also strengthen its offer to the African continent by providing passengers with more than 1.3 million seats (an increase of 19%) connecting Moroccan airports to 28 African destinations at a rate of 271 flights per week. This seat offer consolidates Casablanca’s position as a regional hub for Royal Air Maroc and a hub between the European and African continents.

Furthermore, and in response to the strong demand from Moroccans established in the Netherlands during this summer period, Royal Air Maroc will strengthen its presence in Rotterdam by launching three new direct air routes directly connecting the Dutch city to Tanger, Oujda et Nador. Added to this is the launch of three new lines directly linking Casablanca to Abuja, Manchester et Napoli.

These air routes are part of the strengthening of the Royal Air Maroc network to the African and European markets, particularly the United Kingdom, a strategic market for tourism in Morocco, and Italy where a large Moroccan community is established.

The 2024 summer season plan also provides for the strengthening of domestic lines through the doubling of the frequencies of certain routes departing from Casablanca, namely Laayoune, Dakhla and Oujda, as well as the opening of two new transverse routes linking Rabat to Errachidia and Laayoune.

For the deployment of this system in the best conditions, Royal Air Maroc will charter seven aircraft from internationally renowned airlines. These aircraft will be based at the airports of Tangier, Nador, Oujda and Casablanca, which will accommodate four aircraft, including one aircraft for long-haul flights. The aircraft chartered by Royal Air Maroc are latest generation aircraft and are selected according to the safety and comfort criteria imposed by the National Company, respecting international standards.

All of these offers are already available for sale on the National Company’s website www.royalairmaroc.com, via its call centers as well as in its sales agencies and on the national network of travel agencies.
