jpnn.com – The Golkar Party has confirmed that it will continue to support Dedi Mulyadi in the 2024 West Java Gubernatorial Election, even though Airlangga Hartarto has resigned as the general chairman of the political party with the banyan tree symbol.

Meanwhile, his deputy, Dedi Mulyadi, is still under discussion after Jusuf Hamka, who was predicted to run, also withdrew.

“So for the West Java gubernatorial election, we continue to support Mr. Dedi Mulyadi as a candidate for Governor of West Java and his deputy still needs to be discussed,” said the Chairman of the West Java Golkar DPD, Ace Hasan, when confirmed, Monday (12/8/2024).

Ace said that Ridwan Kamil’s position is still the same, namely being recommended to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

“Yes, I think Mr. Emil (Ridwan Kamil) will remain in Jakarta,” he said.

According to him, the names of prospective regional head candidates that have been recommended by the Golkar Party DPP will not be affected after Airlangga resigns.

So far, Ace said, there have been no changes to the names recommended by his party.

“So far there have been no changes whatsoever. As far as I know we have not received any direction, we still have Mr. Dedi Mulyadi as the gubernatorial candidate,” he said.
