TRAI has taken another decision in favor of mobile users. Now the number of calls harassing users will decrease because TRAI has given orders to all stakeholders, service providers and telemarketers regarding this. TRAI has also said that companies should take immediate action to curb such calls. Actually, TRAI had given this decision regarding calls coming from 10 digit numbers using PRI/SIP.
Why was the meeting held?
A new decision has been taken by TRAI. In this, there was a discussion on stopping commercial calls and spam calls. Now it is clear that the decision has been taken by the company for this. Along with this, TRAI has also been asked to immediately curb such calls. Giving information about this, TRAI said that we have given a strict message to telemarketers, new decisions are being taken regarding voice calls.
What issues were discussed in the meeting-
In the meeting, TRAI talked about issues like headers, templates, corrective action and stopping promotional calls. In this, service providers have been asked to stop such calls immediately. Delivery telemarketers were also included in this. Actually, users used to get very upset with such calls. Continuous work is also being done to stop such cases. In this, the issue of robotic calls, promotional calls was also raised.
Compensation to users-
TRAI has already taken a decision against telecom operators. This decision has been in discussion for a long time and the companies have also become worried. Because in this decision, there is a talk of giving compensation to the users. If the network is continuously disrupted by the company, then they are going to face a lot of trouble. We are saying this because the compensation amount of Rs 1 lakh has also been fixed by TRAI. Also, 12 hours will be counted as 1 day.
