Aishwarya Lakshmi is shining not only in Malayalam but also in other languages. After a long break, Aishwarya also appeared in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1. The Telugu film Ammu, in which the actress played the lead role, received a good response in OTT. Mala Parvathy played the role of Aishwarya’s mother in the film. Mala says Aishwarya was living the character. Domestic violence-themed Ammu is directed by Charukesh Shekhar. The film also stars Naveen Chandra, Bobby Simha, Raja Ravindran and Anjali Ameer.

Aishwarya Lakshmi is very beautiful inside and out. I loved watching her become ‘mom’. She was so into that character. Being her mother was so beautiful and easy. It was natural and unique. Aishwarya fills Ammu. Aishwarya lives in that character. Not surprisingly, women who have gone through this violence identify with Amuda.
Ammu helps many to heal deep bitter wounds and all the credits to Charukesh for the conviction of what he wants to say. He had a clear idea of what he wanted to say and how to make Ammu. His vision was very precise and clear. During the shoot, I was in awe of being a part of Ammu. Directors like him are going to make this world better and safer. These stories are not easy to tell, especially when patriarchy reigns. Educating minds is hard work. But the artist in him has a natural way of doing it. The cast and crew of Ammu were excellent. I can go on.
