Aït Melloul: Arrest of 3 people for assault and battery with a bladed weapon followed by an accident resulting in a death
Aït Melloul – Three people aged 23 to 40 were arrested on Friday by the Aït Melloul judicial police brigade, in coordination with its counterparts from the cities of Agadir and Inezgane, for their alleged involvement in a case of stabbing and wounding followed by a traffic accident resulting in a death, we learned from a security source.
The national security services of the city of Aït Melloul had started, last Wednesday, the procedures for reporting a traffic accident in the Azrou district, which cost the life of a driver, before the investigations and investigations carried out on the ground revealed the involvement of a group of people in exposing the victim to a knife attack and chasing him in his car, before he lost control of his vehicle and hit an electric pole, the same source said.
The in-depth investigations supported by technical research have allowed the identification of persons suspected of being involved in the commission of these criminal acts, according to the same source which adds that three suspects were arrested, including the main suspect involved in the incitement to commit this crime, a second person suspected of having participated in it and a third for failure to report these criminal acts.
The three defendants were placed in police custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office with a view to determining the real motives for this crime, while the search is still ongoing with a view to arresting the rest of the identified suspects who contributed to and participated in this criminal act.
