In a press release, the Group specifies that the start of construction work on the AKDITAL clinic in the city of Dakhla was given for an amount of 220 million dirhams, noting that this initiative follows the last speech of His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the glorious Green March calling on the private sector to strengthen its investments in the southern provinces.

With a bed capacity of 100, this clinic, which will be operational at the end of 2024, will have an operating theatre meeting international standards, a resuscitation centre (multi-purpose resuscitation service, cardiovascular resuscitation service, neonatal resuscitation service) and an oncology centre including two radiotherapy bunkers and a chemotherapy day hospital.

It is also a cardiology center with a cardiac catheterization room, a radiology center offering imaging services by MRI, scanner, mammography or even standard radiography and a medical analysis laboratory.

This clinic with a built area of more than 10,000 m2, will be attached to a building which will be reserved for the accommodation of its staff not residing in the city of Dakhla, specifies the same source, indicating that part of this annex building will be reserved for foreign patients in convalescence.

This first investment by AKDITAL in the southern provinces reflects the Group’s continued commitment to quality healthcare, accessible to all and everywhere in the national territory, the press release underlines, noting that this modern and well-equipped facility will offer a full range of medical and surgical services in various medical and paramedical specialties. Residents of Dakhla and surrounding regions will thus have access to quality healthcare without having to travel long distances.

This opening comes within the framework of supporting the socio-economic dynamics that the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region has experienced in recent years, notes the Group, adding that this initiative also aims to strengthen healthcare access platforms for the region’s population and will also benefit from strengthening the South-South partnership, to the advantage of friendly sub-Saharan countries in accordance with the High Royal Instructions.

Leader of the private health sector in Morocco, the AKDITAL Group makes accessibility to care a priority in its mission, recalls the press release, noting that AKDITAL offers a capacity of 2,200 beds across 21 establishments in 8 cities of the Kingdom, employing more than 4,100 employees.

Since December 14, 2022, the AKDITAL Group has been listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange under the ticker AKT, marking the first entry of the health sector into the financial market.
