Akshay Kumar will once again hit the silver screen as a historical character. Akshay Kumar is playing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. The film is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The first look of Akshay Kumar’s first Marathi film ‘Vedant Marathe Veer Daudale Saathi’ has been released.
The shooting of Akshay Kumar Chhatrapati Shivaji has started. Apart from Marathi, the film will also be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. The film will hit theaters next year as a Diwali release. Produced by Wasim Qureshi.
Akshay Kumar’s latest release is ‘Ram Sethu’. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma. Akshay Kumar played an archeological researcher in the film. The movie ‘Ram Sethu’ did not get a good response in the theatres. The screenplay is also written by director Abhishek Sharma. The movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nusrat Bharucha and Satyadev. The cinematography of the film is done by Aseem Mishra.
All the recently released Akshay Kumar films are facing massive failure. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Katputli’ hit the screens before ‘Ram Sethu’ through Disney Plus Hot Star. ‘Rakshabandhan’ is the theatrical release before Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Sethu’. The film arrived with huge hype but could not hold on at the box office. The film turned out to be Akshay Kumar’s biggest flop of the year. The films ‘Bachchan Pandey’ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ were also huge failures. The film ‘Bell Bottom’ which released in August last year was also a flop. The star’s only hit film during this period was ‘Suryavanshi’. This film hit the theaters in November 2021.
