Bollywood ‘Khiladi’ fame actor Akshay Kumar is going through a bad period in his career. For the last one and a half years, one after another, his movies have been flopping at the box office. A few days ago, the movie ‘Sarafira’ was released. It also flopped at the box office.
According to Hindustan Times, the situation has reached such a level that people are sending condolence messages to Akshay. And this hero is very upset about this incident. He opened up about the issue at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ in Mumbai on Friday (August 2).
Talking about failure, Akshay said, ‘I don’t think too much. I am telling you, four or five of my movies did not run. I get a lot of messages – ‘sorry ear, don’t worry.’ The actor does not like this kind of sympathy.
The actor said quite sternly, ‘I am not dead yet. People are sending condolence messages, people are sending condolences through messages. A journalist wrote, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll be back’, I called him and asked ‘Why are you writing this?’ What does ‘come back’ mean? Where did you go? I am here and I will get to work.’
Akshay forgets the past and looks ahead. He said, ‘I will continue to work, whatever people say about it. Wake up in the morning, exercise, go to work and come home. I work hard to earn money, and that’s at my own expense. I will never ask anyone for help.’
Once upon a time, the ‘Singh Is King’ star became a hit machine at the box office, surpassing the Khans of Bollywood. But since last few years time is not going well for him. Movies like ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Selfie’ and ‘Mission Raniganj’ failed to hold the audience. This year, Akshay’s career is under question due to the flop of big budget movies like ‘Bade Miya Chhote Miya’.
Akshay will be seen opposite Vaani Kapoor in the upcoming movie ‘Khel Khel Mein’. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Amy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal and Aditya Sheel. It is directed by Mudassar Aziz. The movie will release on August 15.
