The head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Zhaparov, “subjected harsh criticism” to a rally in the capital’s boarding school No. 1, in which students also participated. This was reported in the press service of the Cabinet.
On April 18, Zhaparov held a meeting on topical issues of the education system, at which he expressed his dissatisfaction. The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, Minister of Education Kanybek Imanaliev and Mayor of Bishkek Emilbek Abdykadyrov.
“The head of the Cabinet of Ministers severely criticized the events that took place in the capital’s boarding school No. 1, which caused a public outcry and noted the inadmissibility of involving and using schoolchildren in conflict situations,” the message says.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers added that following the meeting, Zhaparov gave a number of instructions, but did not explain which ones.
On April 17, students and teachers held a rally in boarding school No. 1 in Bishkek. They came out against the reorganization of the school and the new director of the educational institution.
The rally with the participation of schoolchildren caused a public outcry in the network.
