Al-Baour holds several meetings in New York

The Libyan delegation, headed by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, participated in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement countries, held in New York, during the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his speech, Mr. Al-Baour reiterated “the firm position of the State of Libya, government and people, towards the Palestinian issue, embodied in the recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

He praised “all the supportive positions adopted by the movement towards the Palestinian cause, encouraging the adoption of other positions that serve the just cause of the Palestinian people.”

Al-Baour also participated in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, headed by Yemeni Foreign Minister Shaye Mohsen Al-Zindani, which was held today in New York City on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting discussed “coordinating positions and exchanging views on the latest developments in important regional and international issues, especially the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and ways to support efforts towards the cause of the brotherly Palestinian people.”

Al-Baour holds several meetings in New York

On the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Taher Al-Baour met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Tunisian Republic, Mohamed Ali Nafti.

The meeting reviewed “bilateral relations and close brotherly ties that bind the two brotherly countries, as well as coordination and consultation on various regional and international issues of common interest, especially supportive efforts towards the just cause of the Palestinian people.”

Al-Taher Al-Baour also met with the Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting addressed “strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, where Mr. Al-Baour appreciated the Qatari role in supporting stability in Libya by reaching comprehensive elections. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.”
