The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Al-Taher Al-Baour, received Ambassador Khaled Mohammed Al-Dosari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the State of Libya, where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries..
During the meeting, the two sides stressed “the depth of historical relations and the strong ties that bring together the two brotherly peoples. Areas of bilateral cooperation were also reviewed, and the importance of intensifying coordination and consultation on various regional and international issues of common interest was emphasized.”
The meeting touched on “the importance of activating the Libyan-Qatari joint committee, in a way that reflects bilateral aspirations towards promoting sustainable development and opening new horizons for cooperation and integration in all fields.”
Al-Baour praised “the positive role played by the State of Qatar in supporting the stability of Libya, stressing his country’s keenness to strengthen the partnership with Doha in a way that contributes to achieving the common interests and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.”
In turn, the Qatari ambassador expressed “his country’s readiness to enhance joint work with Libya, stressing Doha’s commitment to supporting the Libyan people in their journey towards building stability in the country.”
