The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, visited the project to establish the headquarters of the Libyan Academy of Communications and Informatics, in the Al-Jazeera region of Misrata.
Al-Dabaiba stressed, “The necessity of completing the project, due to its importance in building human capabilities with distinguished skills and competencies in the field of communications and informatics, keeping pace with technical developments and working to find technical solutions according to the highest standards, through research, development and innovation in partnership with pioneers locally and globally.”
Al-Dabaiba was accompanied on the tour by the Chairman of the Communications and Informatics Authority, Abdel Baset Al-Baour, and the Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Directors, Magdi Al-Shaibani.
The academy is located on an area of 7 hectares with a group of buildings of 40,000 square metres, which includes training halls, workshops, work spaces, a central library, and a data center, in addition to residence rooms for trainee students. It was designed to accommodate more than 700 trainees, relying on smart buildings, and using more than 60 % of alternative energy (solar energy).
