The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, received, on Monday evening, the mayors of the municipalities of the West Coast and the Mountain.
In a speech to the mayors, delivered by the Mayor of Zawiya Municipality, Jamal Bahr, during which he affirmed “their support for the efforts of the National Unity Government to support local administration by transferring the competencies of the sectors and implementing a number of development projects.”
Bahr praised “the efforts made by the Prime Minister to achieve stability in all fields, and to support the citizen through the latest economic measures in coordination with the relevant institutions.”
In his conversation with the deans, Al-Dabaiba stressed, “the government’s plan to continue activating local administration and paying attention to development projects of interest to the citizen, in addition to completing the transfer of specializations in a number of sectors.”
He also directed the executive agencies “to give priority to projects to provide municipalities with water and sanitation services, and to eliminate shanty schools.”
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Local Government, Badr al-Din al-Toumi, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, the directors of agencies for the development and development of administrative centres, the implementation of housing and facilities projects, the implementation of transportation projects, and the director of the Man-Made River Authority.
