Al-Faihaa field expects to increase production capacity to 100,000 barrels per day next August

The management of the border Al-Faiha oil field expected, on Friday, to increase production capacity to 100 thousand barrels per day during the month of August.

Field manager Mohammed Taher said in a statement received by the (INA): “The field is on the border with Iran and current production has reached 80 thousand barrels per day and it is hoped that the capacity will increase to 100 thousand barrels per day next August.”
Taher added, “The field consists of two insulating banks, Bank A and Bank B, each bank has 50 thousand barrels per day, and the number of wells in the field has reached 43 wells, 36 wells in production, and an experimental water injection well, and the rest are reclamation wells that are not yet connected to the station.”
He stressed that “the gas flaring cessation project will be completed by the end of this year, and that the gas processing capacity is 130 MCM per day,” noting that “the field produces two lines of liquid and dry gas, and that the production capacity of liquid gas has reached approximately 1,100-1,480 tons per day, and the production of dry gas is around 98 MCM.”
Taher explained that “the field consists of 7 branches, including the reservoirs, wells, projects, production, administrative, legal and security branches, and that the cadres work in morning and evening shifts,” noting that “the total area of ​​the field is 865 square kilometers.”
