In a statement to MAP on this occasion, Mr. Charifi Abdessamad, Head of the Deposit and Management Fund (CDG) at the level of the province of Al Haouz, indicated that the public authorities have entrusted the management of this operation to the National Pensions and Insurance Fund (CNRA), an organization managed by the CDG, noting that in consultation with the public authorities, all technical and logistical means are mobilized to ensure the success of this operation.

The granting of this emergency aid is done with approved payment institutions where eligible beneficiaries can contact one of the agencies of this network to recover their money, added Mr. Charifi.

To facilitate this operation, “we have made available to the citizens concerned mobile information units in the disaster areas, mobile units for granting aid, a call center dedicated to answering the questions of the targeted people, in addition to a telephone number to communicate via the WhatsApp application,” he explained.

And to conclude that this operation is taking place gradually and that beneficiary families can only travel to collect their aid after receiving the payment code by SMS.

Several beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the High Solicitude with which the Sovereign continues to surround the victims of the earthquake which hit the province of Al Haouz and other regions of the Kingdom on September 8.

In the same vein, they were unanimous in highlighting the tireless efforts deployed by local authorities since the first hours following this natural disaster to come to the aid and lend a helping hand to the victims.

In accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, it was decided to start the allocation of the first tranche of emergency aid set at 2,500 Dirhams per month for one year, for the benefit of families whose homes have partially or completely collapsed, starting from October 6 and ending October 16.

Families affected by the earthquake, who have not received financial aid during the aforementioned period, will have the opportunity to submit complaints on this subject to the relevant provincial commissions in order to examine them and decide on them.
