Thus, a long queue of donors, women and men of different ages, entered the entrance to the Centre as soon as it opened to take part in this show of solidarity aimed at meeting the needs of the region’s hospitals for blood products.
In a statement to the press on this occasion, the provincial delegate of Health and Social Protection, Jader Mustapha, said that the Hemodialysis Center is open throughout the week to ensure the success of this humanitarian initiative aimed at meeting the growing needs of hospitals for blood bags, particularly for people affected by the earthquake.
This blood donation campaign, initiated jointly by the province of Rehamna, the Provincial Delegation of Health and Protection with the involvement of elected bodies and representatives of external services, saw, according to Mr. Jader, a large influx of the province’s inhabitants who showed a spirit of great solidarity and mutual aid.
Moreover, many blood donors affirmed that this solidarity action aims to contribute to saving human lives following the earthquake that hit the province of El Haouz and the surrounding regions, while urging citizens to respond massively to this call in order to overcome the lack of this vital material for people’s lives.
For Zahra Amara, a blood donor from Benguerir, donating blood is a national duty especially in these difficult times, calling on all citizens, especially people with blood group (0-) to donate their blood to save people with the rarest blood groups.
For a representative of the Moroccan Red Crescent in Benguerir, Abdennour El Harimi, he noted that this establishment is strongly mobilized within the framework of this solidarity and human initiative aimed at replenishing blood reserves, while encouraging potential donors to go at any time to the Benguerir Hemodialysis center.
He also welcomed the royal concern for the Moroccan Red Crescent, which has all the means to enable it to carry out its actions in good conditions.
It should be noted that the start of this operation, illustrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual aid of the inhabitants of Benguerir, took place in the presence of the governor of the province of Rehamna, Aziz Bouignane, as well as elected officials and representatives of civil society.
