Al Haouz earthquake: EIB President “extraordinarily impressed” by Morocco’s resilience
Marrakech – The president of the European Funding Financial institution (EIB), Werner Hoyer, stated he was “very moved” and “extraordinarily impressed” by Morocco’s resilience following the earthquake that struck a number of areas of the Kingdom.
“We had been all very moved and very impressed by the resilience of Morocco within the aftermath of this horrible earthquake,” he informed MAP on the event of his participation within the Annual Conferences of the World Financial institution Group and the Worldwide Financial Fund.
“Holding the Annual Conferences in Marrakech is a chance for us to indicate our solidarity with this dynamic nation – and to strengthen our partnership,” underlined Mr. Hoyer, noting that in coordination with the European Union delegation to Morocco, the EIB is able to mobilize its experience and sources to “help the priorities recognized by the Moroccan authorities following the earthquake”.
