The operation of granting this first tranche, the amount of which is set at 20,000 DH, is taking place in accordance with the High Royal Instructions under the strict supervision of local authorities, and this in the 15 payment units approved at the provincial level.
Families in the municipalities of Aït Tamlil and Ait Oumdis, the most affected by the disaster of September 8, receive this aid at these points distributed throughout the province in order to cover a large number of beneficiaries, particularly families in remote disaster areas, noted a MAP team on site.
At the level of the municipality of Demnate, the local authorities are working constantly to ensure the fluidity and efficiency of the operation of distributing this aid while ensuring the support of the beneficiaries in the technical phase of reconstruction.
With a meticulous eye, the provincial authorities, accompanied by architects and topographers, scrupulously monitor the reconstruction phase by establishing for each family a topographical survey and an architectural plan that take into account the damage caused to each building before the start of the reconstruction phase.
Technical support from the relevant departments continues throughout the reconstruction period in order to ensure compliance with safe reconstruction standards through rigorous planning of the various phases according to a schedule established by the architect after building permit.
In parallel with the operation of granting the first tranche for reconstruction, the inhabitants of the areas damaged by the earthquake continue to receive the second tranche of financial aid intended for families affected by the natural disaster, the amount of which amounts to 2500 DH.
In statements to MAP, many beneficiaries of this aid expressed their gratitude to HM the King for the High Concern with which the Sovereign has continued to surround them since the first hours of the terrible earthquake, highly commending the commendable and tireless efforts made daily by local authorities to come to their aid.
It should be recalled that in application of the High Royal Directives, the government distributes direct financial aid of 140,000 dirhams for completely collapsed housing and 80,000 dirhams to cover the rehabilitation work of partially collapsed housing.
