by times news cr

For a return to normal, local authorities, in coordination with the provincial delegation of Education of Ouarzazate, have mobilized to relaunch the educational process at the level of the nine municipalities concerned and thus ensure the smooth running of the 2023-2024 school year.

A technical committee had previously inspected the damage caused to the schools before recommending the evacuation of the Inmiter school in the commune of Telouet in view of the complete collapse of two classrooms.

The 45 students of the Inmiter establishment, belonging to the Abdellah Ben Yassine school group, resumed classes on Monday in a large marquee, installed near their school by the provincial authorities of Ouarzazate, in order to continue their education in secure conditions.

The rooms were equipped with tables, chairs and all the educational tools adapted to the needs of the schoolchildren.

In a statement to MAP, the provincial director of Education, Youssef Bouras, indicated that the transfer of students from this school in Inmiter, several classrooms of which were damaged, is a temporary alternative aimed at ensuring educational continuity for the benefit of students.

Returning to the efforts to install and secure this temporary learning space, Mr. Bouras praised the mobilization and diligence of the provincial authorities in coordination with the regional education department, which allowed students to resume their classes in optimal conditions.

“The students of the 142 educational institutions affected at the provincial level returned to school today, thanks to the commitment of the teachers,” he said, assuring that these schoolchildren benefit from psychological support as part of a campaign set up for this purpose.
