Cairo – INA Iraq was elected president of the sixteenth session of the Conference of Ministers of Higher Education in the Arab World, which is organized by the Department of Education in the Social Affairs Sector of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo. The conference was launched with the participation of delegations from 17 countries and a number of Arab and international organizations, in addition to joint Arab action organizations. The Iraqi delegation was headed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa, who was elected president of the session. The conference raised the slogan “Arab higher education and the world of work and production: a new vision.” It aims to develop a comprehensive strategy to enable the file of higher education in the Arab countries to advance and keep pace with qualitative development, especially in the field of scientific research and teaching methods that the world is witnessing, as well as the issue of dealing with the complex crises that it faces. Arab countries, which resulted in conflicts that caused serious damage to their higher education systems and caused many stifling economic and operational crises due to the collapse of infrastructure and the displacement and asylum of millions of their residents, which requires a call from now to develop practical visions for the stages of post-crisis and reconstruction and to rehabilitate the human resources in them to return to… Their homelands and rebuilding them again. The conference is organized and jointly cooperated between the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Arab Labor Organization.
