/ Today, Friday, two matches took place in the first round of the second stage of the Iraqi Elite League 2023-2024, while the Al-Jaish team was considered the winner over the Al-Kut team because Al-Kut did not implement the federation’s regulations.

The Iraqi Handball Federation confirmed that it considered the Al-Jaish team a winner over the Al-Kut team with a score of (48-0) according to the regulations of the Iraqi Handball League.

Hossam Abdel Reda, a member of the media office, told Agency, “The Competitions Committee decided to consider the Al-Kout team a loser against the army because Al-Kout Club did not provide the technical requirements and capabilities to host the match on its home soil,” noting that “the decision came in accordance with the federation’s regulations and within the controls it set.”

In another match within the same competitions, the Al-Karkh Club team was able to achieve victory over its host, the Dhi Qar team, with a score of 32-22 goals.

Also within the same competitions, the Naft Basra Club team defeated the Naft Al-Wasat team with a score of 23-20 goals.
