On the sidelines of the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Minister of Social Affairs of the National Unity Government, Wafa Abu Bakr Al-Kilani, held a series of meetings with her counterparts, the Ministers of Social Affairs in the Arab countries, and the importance of supporting social work and promoting integration between countries was emphasized. Al-Kilani met with the Bahraini Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Saleh Al-Alawi, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of social development.
During the meeting, Al-Kilani expressed her thanks to the Kingdom for hosting the work of the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs.
For his part, the Bahraini Minister of Social Development affirmed his country’s desire to cooperate with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the National Unity Government, to benefit from its programs, especially in the files of marriage and grants, and also to exchange experiences between the two parties.
The two parties agreed to form a technical team to prepare a joint memorandum of cooperation, with the aim of achieving common goals and enhancing work in the development and social fields.
Al-Kilani also met with her counterpart, the Minister of Solidarity of the Republic of Egypt, Maya Morsi, on the sidelines of the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
During the meeting, Al-Kilani congratulated Morsi on the occasion of her election as president of the 81st session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation between Arab countries in promoting social work.
For her part, Dr. Maya Morsi blessed the election of Al-Kilani as Deputy Head of the Executive Office, noting the importance of this selection in supporting joint Arab action efforts.
During the meeting, it was also emphasized to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Libya and Egypt in the areas of supporting productive families and entrepreneurship, with a focus on exchanging experiences and developing social and development projects to achieve sustainable development in the region.

She stressed the importance of “unifying Arab efforts to confront social challenges,” stressing Libya’s commitment to implementing the Council’s decisions and promoting joint action. It also denounced the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, affirming Libya’s full support for their legitimate right to establish their state.
