Today, Monday, Libyan Officials Receive Ambassadors
Today, Monday, the Deputy of the Presidential Council, Mr. Musa Al-Koni, received the ambassadors of the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom to Libya. The meeting discussed the latest developments in Libya at all levels and working to develop joint cooperation relations between Libya and both countries in all fields.
During Al-Koni’s reception of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari, the latter conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to the Presidential Council and stressed his country’s continued support for the efforts to achieve stability in Libya, which aim to preserve the unity of Libyan territory.
Al-Dosari also stressed the importance of the national reconciliation project and working to make it a success in coordination with the Presidential Council, and intensifying efforts to address the current political deadlock to ensure stability until the electoral process is held.
Al-Koni also met with the UK Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, who gave a briefing on his recent visit to the city of Sabha, his meeting with officials and citizens there, and the problems and difficulties that hinder life there at various levels.
In turn, Al-Koni welcomed the interest of the United Kingdom and the State of Qatar in the Libyan file and stressed the importance of southern Libya with its various components as it is the strategic depth of Libya and the source of its wealth.
