Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed today, Sunday, support for measures to preserve Iraq’s sovereignty.
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, met today with the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, to discuss the latest developments at the local and regional levels.”
He added, “During the meeting, the political and security situation in the country was discussed, and the necessity of starting practical steps to activate the work of local councils was emphasized, and the importance of concerted efforts of the national forces to achieve the aspirations of the people and provide services to them, in addition to discussing the laws that the council is legislating during the current semester, especially those… It touches the lives of citizens.”
During their conversation about developments in the region and their repercussions on Iraq, Al-Mandalawi and Al-Hakim stressed “the importance of supporting the measures taken by the legislative and executive authorities regarding preserving Iraq’s sovereignty, preventing repeated attacks and violations, and not tolerating them.”
