The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, received today, Monday, at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Abdullah Bathily, and the Deputy Head of the Mission for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury.
According to the Media Office of the Presidential Council, Bathily thanked the President for his cooperation and work in partnership with his political team and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, during his term as head of the mission, wishing Libya progress, prosperity and stability.
The President appreciated Bathily’s role throughout his term as head of the mission, wishing him success in new tasks, stressing continued cooperation in partnership with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya with the aim of achieving the desire of all Libyans and reaching the elections.
On the other hand, Al-Menfi received an official invitation from the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd, to attend the “Peace on Ukraine” summit scheduled to be held in Geneva in mid-June.
The invitation was delivered by the Swiss Ambassador to Libya, Joseph Philipp.
