Al-Manfi visits Huawei headquarters in China

Today, Wednesday, the Chairman of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi”, and members of the accompanying delegation visited the official headquarters of “Huawei” in the People’s Republic of China, at the invitation of the President of Global Affairs of Huawei.

According to what was published by the media office of the head of the Libyan Presidential Council, “Al-Manfi toured the wings of this institution, and during it he was informed of its latest technological innovations and listened to a detailed presentation by the head of global affairs of the company about its activity in the world in general and in Libya in particular, as the company’s age in Libya exceeded twenty years.”

Al-Manfi also reviewed “the services provided by the company following the disaster of the Derna hurricane and the surrounding areas, and the rapid connection of the communications network by the company, in addition to the opportunities available to develop its partnerships with our country in the future in several areas, including digitizing administration, financial transactions, education, renewable energy, and communications infrastructure.”

Al-Manfi pointed out that “Libya enjoys a distinguished geographical location, which aspires to be a gateway in the region in the field of communications and information technology and providing technical solutions.”

At the end of the visit, a “Memorandum of Goodwill Declaration” was signed between Huawei and the State of Libya.

On Tuesday, the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, began an official visit to the Chinese capital, Beijing, to participate in the activities of the China-Africa Summit. The visit came in response to an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
