Today, the Minister of Education in the Government of National Unity, Musa Al-Maqrif, witnessed the launch of the 21st Century Teacher Project, the training program for preparing an interactive learning school, which is being held by the General Center for Training and Education Development, in cooperation with UNICEF.
31 trainees from all over the country are undergoing a 9-day training programme, with 7 training hours per day, to prepare a master trainer, delivered by international experts from UNICEF, under the supervision of the Technical Committee of the General Centre for Training and Education Development.
The training program focuses on understanding interactive teaching and learning, facilitating teaching and learning, creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment, developing students’ life skills, planning lessons for interactive learning, and planning and thinking in the classroom.
The 21st Century Teacher program aims to develop an understanding of interactive teaching and learning methods, teach how to implement new strategies and techniques in the classroom, enhance the ability to engage students and create a collaborative learning environment, and reflect on and improve educational practices.
