/ Al-Minaa Club returned to Basra carrying three points after achieving victory over its host, Al-Sadd Club, with a score of 2-1 in the second match of the 12th round of the Iraqi Premier League.
The match was held at Karbala International Stadium, which was inaugurated after the qualification on Friday at five o’clock in the evening.
The first half ended with Al-Minaa leading 2-1. Karbala Club scored first through Abdul Qader Tariq in the 19th minute. Al-Minaa’s equalizing goal came from a penalty kick successfully executed by Mohammed Shawkan in the 25th minute. In the 33rd minute, Al-Minaa’s second goal came through player Muslim Musa.
In the second half, Karbala controlled the course of the half and put great pressure on Al-Mina’s goal and missed several clear scoring opportunities amidst the decline of Al-Mina’s players, but the result remained the same without change.
