Khaled Al-Mishri said that the judiciary’s decisions regarding the election of the presidency of the Supreme Council of State are settled in his favor and that the session is sound and not in doubt.

Al-Mishri added during a press conference that any attempt to obstruct is an attempt to disrupt the work of the Council.

Al-Mishri considered that the judiciary confirmed the validity of the State Council Presidency election session and the validity of the decision to appoint him as the Council’s President.

No to encroachment on our jurisdiction

Al-Mishri explained during his conference that the issue of reconstituting a new council for the Central Bank is an authentic matter for the House of Representatives and the State Council, and the Presidential Council has nothing to do with it, as it is not within its jurisdiction.

Al-Mishri stressed that the Council is in the process of activating the sovereign positions file, noting that priority will be given to some positions to complete them as soon as possible.

Al-Mishri explained that the Council is not clinging to specific individuals in this matter, but rather to defend laws and constitutional texts approved by the political agreement at some point.

Al-Mishri stressed that the Council has not and will not relinquish the powers granted to it, and will not accept any encroachment on them by any body, whether the presidency, parliament, or government, considering that each has a power guaranteed by law and cooperation is required for this to succeed.

Al-Mishri revealed an upcoming session for the council members to complete the rest of the presidency office, which is to elect two deputies and a council rapporteur, denying the existence of any division among its members.
