Al-Najaf Football Team is preparing to enter a training camp in Erbil Governorate in preparation for the Stars League competitions for the next season (2024-2025).
Al-Najaf goalkeeper coach Hadi Al-Jawahri told the (INA): “The team has reached the tenth day of training and we have started preparing before going to the camp, but the team has a shortage in some positions and they have not been completed yet. We are waiting for them to be completed so that we can travel to our scheduled camp in Erbil. We want our start to be good this season and it is one of the things that makes you compete with the top teams. So far, we do not consider our start to be a very good start due to some gaps, and we hope that the team will be completed soon.”
For his part, Al-Najaf Club goalkeeper Ali Kazim Katfan told (INA): “The team had an excellent last season through the available players and the efforts made by the coaching staff. Our ambitions are high this season to compete with the advanced teams. Our training on this basis is proceeding at full speed and with high spirits. We are all hopeful of achieving something this season to please our fans, put a smile on their faces, and satisfy the ambitions of the coaching staff and the administration.”
In a related context, the technical analyst of the Najaf team, Mohammed Nasser, said: “The team began its preparations for the upcoming football season about ten days ago, with a morning training session and an evening one, in order to raise the players’ readiness for the season, especially since the preparation period is a very important period and it is the reserve that will remain with us throughout the season. He indicated that the team will camp in the coming days to develop the physical and technical structure of the players, in addition to achieving more harmony between the players, especially with the new recruitments.”
