He stated that the most important of these symptoms include fainting, trembling, shaking, pulling, numbness, poor sensation, tingling sensation, feeling pain, problems walking or disturbance of balance, convulsions, problems speaking, problems swallowing, feeling a body in the throat, and vision problems. Between loss or duplication, hearing problems, difficulties with memory or concentration, weakness or paralysis in the extremities, noting that these symptoms may appear and may disappear, and sometimes last for long periods, and vary in intensity and location, to the extent that they can hinder a person’s ability to work and do daily activities.

He pointed out that continuous observation during his periods of work in the field of mental health revealed the emergence of symptoms significantly in some mental disorders, the first of which is anxiety, especially panic attacks and anxiety over disease, followed by mood disorders, the most important of which are depression, post-traumatic stress disorders, and social pressures (marital, family, especially). with parents, at work) with internal conflict, especially with repression, personality disorders, and dissociative disorders involving imbalances or breakdowns in memory, consciousness, identity or cognition.

He explained that in order to accurately diagnose these symptoms, it is necessary to consult a neurologist to rule out organic neurological causes through the history, physical and neurological examination and doing some necessary tests, the most important of which are radiographs on the brain and its planning. You also need a psychiatrist to evaluate psychological causes and confirm the diagnosis.

Dr. Al-Osaimi explained the methods of treatment of these disorders, which include pharmacological interventions, especially antidepressants, or non-pharmacological interventions through psychological sessions, or a combination of them, according to what appears during the examination and the reasons behind these symptoms, adding that there are supportive treatment methods, including the treatment of organic problems, especially Nervousness such as migraine and epilepsy, rehabilitation with physical and occupational therapy, especially for difficulty walking, speaking, or muscle problems, and attention to positive social relationships, as well as reducing stress and performing relaxation techniques, and paying attention to regulating sleep, eating and sports.
