Manama: Al Osra team won the first Pratibha One Day Volleyball Tournament organized under the auspices of Pratibha Muharraq Regional Committee. The fiery battle of eight teams of expatriates from different countries took place at the indoor stadium of Salmaniya Alquadisiya Cultural and Sports Club from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Capital Governorate Representative Yusuf Bin Jariya inaugurated the tournament. The convenor of the organizing committee Shamjith Kottapally welcomed the event. Region President Anil Kumar K.P. Al Osra Volleyball team won the inaugural Muharraq Region ODI Volleyball Tournament by winning two consecutive sets in a close final match between finalists Langali Napoli and Al Osra.
Awarded to Kamal of Al Osra team for best spiker by AV Ashokan, Awarded to Man Bahadur of Langali Nepal team as best all rounder by A Suresh, Awarded to Sub of Al Osra team as best setter by Manoj Mahi of Patron committee. Pratibha Kendra Joint Secretary Shamjith Kottapalli also handed over the prize to Ashiq of the Jufair Friends team who was selected as the best libero at the closing ceremony.
Regional Acting Secretary Shiju gave the cash award to the winners Al Osra and Regional Membership Secretary Sheela Sashi gave the cash award to the runners-up Langali Napoli team.
