Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, said that drinking coffee on an empty stomach is not harmful to health.
Al-Shehri added in a video on his Twitter account: “There is no strong scientific evidence that drinking coffee on an empty stomach is harmful.”
He continued, “If you want to reduce the effects of caffeine in coffee, make it with food, especially in the case of the presence of fiber that reduces the level of caffeine.”
He continued, “No more than 3 or 4 cups of coffee a day, maximum, and there is no evidence that coffee on an empty stomach is harmful.”
Al-Shehri concluded: “If coffee affects your stomach or causes reflux, take it after eating.”
