Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received the Chairman and members of the Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the complementary relationship between the executive and legislative authorities in the field of security support, discussing the government’s efforts and preparations to hold provincial council elections next month, and providing a safe atmosphere for their holding, in addition to discussing the future of the relationship with the international coalition forces.
The Prime Minister stressed the government’s keenness and efforts to enhance the country’s security, which is a precursor to all development plans, and its implications for the stability of the economic, social and political conditions.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of proposals that aim to achieve the required reforms for the security institution, thus contributing to the development of security work towards more professionalism and raising the level of performance.
