Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani stressed the importance of integration between the countries of the region in the economic and investment aspects.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by Al-Masalla, that Al-Sudani received the Saudi Minister of Transport, Saleh Al-Jasser, who headed his country’s delegation participating in the Development Path Conference that was held in Baghdad.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed Iraq’s keenness to develop bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of integration between the countries of the region in the economic, investment and industrial aspects, praising the successes achieved by the Coordination Council between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the constructive steps it took in the direction of developing relations between the two countries.
In another context, Al-Sudani received the Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates, Suhail Al-Mazrouei, who heads his country’s delegation participating in the (Development Path) conference held in the capital, Baghdad.
During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the two countries, especially those related to energy, which represents an important and vital sector, including industries and future investments.
The economic and investment opportunities offered by the development path project, and its future positive repercussions on the economy of Iraq and the countries of the region, were reviewed.
The Prime Minister confirmed that the current government has drawn up an integrated approach to develop the basic sectors in the country, stressing the government’s keenness to provide a safe investment environment, especially since Iraq today represents a promising investment destination.
