Libya’s permanent envoy to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni, said that Libya, despite all the circumstances, is on the way to restoring its active role regionally and internationally.
Al-Sunni added, in a tweet via his Twitter account, that Libya is not isolated from the events taking place around the world, and will restore its role on the basis of equality and respect for Libya’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
And the Libyan envoy continued: “We look forward to a positive and more effective role from the international community and not to cover up the obstructionists, whether individuals, entities or even countries.”
Al-Sunni stated: “We must build bridges of trust, stop ruminating on the wounds of the past, look forward, end the debate about the negatives, and establish the principle of transitional justice, frankness, apology, tolerance, and reparation.”
And he concluded his tweet: “We must reveal the fate of the missing, the return of all the displaced and the displaced, and work together, hand in hand, in order to cross the country to safety.”
