/ Al-Zawraa Sports Club administration announced on Monday that it will hold a training camp for its football team in Basra, starting at the end of this month, in preparation for meeting Al-Shorta in the strongest Iraqi derby, which will be held in the thirteenth round of the Iraqi Premier League.

The management member and team supervisor, Abdul Karim Abdul Razzaq, told Agency, “The team will hold a training camp in Basra Governorate starting on the 31st of this month and continuing for a week in preparation for meeting the police team in the 13th round, which will start after the end of our national team’s mission in the Asian Championship.”

He added, “The administration agreed with the administrations of Al-Mina and Basra Oil to play two friendly matches during the team’s camp in Basra,” indicating that “Al-Zawraa will face Al-Mina team in the first friendly match on February 2nd, and will face Basra Oil Club team in the second friendly match on February 6th.”

It is noteworthy that Al-Zawraa Club occupies the third place in the Iraqi Premier League after the end of the 12th round with 23 points.
