At 69, Alain Orsoni, the president of AC Ajaccio has already had several lives. His past as a Corsican nationalist leader already gave him an atypical side among the presidents of L 1. In 2018, he resigned from his position on the board of directors of the LFP (Ligue de football professionel). “I no longer saw any interest in it, we weren’t really in a participatory democracy”, regrets the one who runs his club from Managua, in Nicaragua where he has lived “for personal and professional reasons” for many years.
