On the roadside adjacent to Chennai Alandur Metro station, a large guide name board was installed for motorists to know. A government bus traveling to Koyambedu on a busy highway lost control and crashed into a signpost. The cement floor on which the name board was installed broke and the board fell down on the road.
At that time a board fell on a young man named Shanmugasundaram who was riding a two-wheeler and he was seriously injured. Also, two passengers in the mini cargo vehicle sustained minor injuries.
