Yesterday, a huge signboard fell when a government bus collided with it in Alandur, Chennai. The person who was seriously injured in the accident has succumbed to his injuries.

On the roadside adjacent to Chennai Alandur Metro station, a large guide name board was installed for motorists to know. A government bus traveling to Koyambedu on a busy highway lost control and crashed into a signpost. The cement floor on which the name board was installed broke and the board fell down on the road.

At that time a board fell on a young man named Shanmugasundaram who was riding a two-wheeler and he was seriously injured. Also, two passengers in the mini cargo vehicle sustained minor injuries. On getting the information, the police removed the name board with the help of Bokline machine and cleared the traffic. Meanwhile, the police arrested the driver Raghunath, who absconded after the accident, after registering a case under 4 sections.

In this case, the person who was seriously injured in the accident died without treatment. This has made it even more tragic.
