jpnn.com – The Indonesian women’s national volleyball team experienced misery when competing in the 2024 SEA V League.
Most recently, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi and her colleagues suffered a tragic defeat against the Philippines with a score of 2-3 (25-20, 20-25, 25-16, 20-25, 10-15) at Chatchai Hall, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, Sunday (11/8/2024).
This result is a major blow considering that in recent years the Philippines has always been below Indonesia’s game.
Srikandi Merah Putih coach, Chamnan Dokmai, assessed that his team lacked experience in competing at the international level.
So far, the Indonesian women’s national volleyball team has only competed in the SEA Games and this is considered lacking.
“I see a lack of confidence among the players. There is a feeling of fear, even though they actually can. Indonesian players must participate in international competitions more often so they can be confident.”
“Competitions at home and abroad are very different, from the atmosphere of the audience or the match,” said the coach from the Land of the White Elephant.
This result also makes Indonesia only occupy the bottom position of the 2024 SEA V League.
