This visit by the head of Spanish diplomacy, who will hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, reinforces the serenity, the extent of the ties of friendship and the solidity of the strategic relations between Morocco and Spain.
These relations continue to evolve and enrich thanks to the strong impetus given by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, during his meeting with the President of the Spanish Government, Mr. Pedro Sanchez, on April 7, 2022.
This visit, which is Mr Albares’ first trip abroad at the head of a large delegation, comes less than a month after the inauguration of the new Spanish Government, chaired by Mr Pedro Sanchez.
Only eighteen months after the conclusion of the Joint Declaration, on April 7, 2022, during the meeting between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the President of the Spanish Government, Mr. Pedro Sanchez, the partnership between Morocco and Spain has experienced sustained momentum and tangible development in several areas of common interest, as evidenced by a strengthened and constant political dialogue, an important economic partnership and a broad range of cooperation in many areas, including culture, education, scientific research, sustainable development, sport and the fight against illegal immigration and terrorism.
