The historic athlete managed to get on the podium after achieving a new Bronze medal at the sporting event, increasing his legendary status in Chilean sport.
After finishing in third place in the 100-meter backstroke S2 category and in the 50-meter backstroke S2, the national representative emulated what he had done in the previous days and this Monday he closed the podium in the event of the 200 meters freestyle category S2.
The above, after recording a time of four minutes, 22 seconds and 18 hundredths, being surpassed by Vladimir Danilenko (4:14.16) and the Brazilian Gabriel dos Santoswho won the gold medal with a time of 3:58.92.
In this way, Alberto Abarza does not stop enlarging his legend, achieving her sixth medal at the Paralympic Games, with her three bronzes in Paris 2024, and her gold and two silvers she won in Tokyo 2020.
